Our team is made up of everyday people who genuinely love water activities — from a triathlon enthusiast who has kept a morning swim routine for 12 years, to a full-time mother who takes three kids to the community pool every week, a youth swim coach with 8 years of teaching experience, and e-commerce operators who understand what online shoppers actually need.
The Problem We Kept Running Into
Over the past ten years, we have dealt with swim gear almost every week. Yet one problem kept coming back: it was surprisingly hard to find swimming essentials that were truly made for everyday use.
We bought expensive professional towels that still dried slowly like regular towels. We tried more than a dozen waterproof bags, only to have some leak after a few uses and damage a phone. We searched for swim caps for long hair, but many were either too tight, uncomfortable, or simply unable to hold hair properly. We even came across swim accessories with a strong chemical smell right out of the package — products we would never feel comfortable giving to children.
We realized the swim gear market had fallen into an awkward gap. Some products were designed for professional athletes, overloaded with features and high prices. The Birth of Vellqua
In the spring of 2026, after another pool gathering where a poor-quality waterproof bag ruined a phone, we finally decided to stop complaining and start building the solution ourselves. That was how Vellqua was born.
We did not begin with a grand business plan or a flashy brand story. Our purpose was simple: to offer reasonably priced, reliable swim essentials for everyday swimmers like us.

We know better products start with better production. Instead of building our own factory, we spent three full months visiting 27 swim accessory factories around the world. In the end, we selected 7 trusted partners with more than 15 years of manufacturing experience, many of whom have long produced products for well-known sports brands in Europe and the United States.
